I have a stock Crx. Stock engine and everything. I'm curious if I could do a transaxle swap and what would bolt up. The car is already a 5 speed and I want to keep it that way or 6

Yeah I figured a 6 speed was out of the question. What I'm trying to gain by a transaxle swap is gearing change. Something to help ruin at a lower rpm on the freeway.

Ok. Now I'm not familiar with the crx's. Fourth and fifth gen civics third fourth and fifth gen accords yes. Which crx is the hf?
Right, the Si models have different gearing than the HF. HF cars were geared more for fuel economy, as opposed to the more performance oriented ratios in the Si transaxle.
HF is a trim level, not a chassis code, just so you are aware. I think you were assuming that HF was a chassis code like ED, EG, EK, EJ, and so on. The HF trim, 1st generation CRX is what you are looking for.
