I have an AEM EMS 30-1020 for my b16 turbo.

is it possible to use AEM EMS with the b16 engine,
retaining the stock distributor for cam etc. sensors,
and use Audi RS COPS (they have the individual ignition modules inside them)

I think Chris Harris is/was developing a COP system using that principle, so you might want to look on the PGMFI.org forums for updates.
