someone backed into my front bumper in january, and it broke the corner lense on passenger side, so i was looking around for some to buy and replace that one with.

mine were just like stock, except the orange part was clear, but it had the same texture and look and shape and everything, as the stock oem ones, but just all clear instead of having orange on it.

but i just searched all over, on ebay, amazon, and summit racing, etc . .., and all the ones i keep pulling up look weird or different ?, like with lines going across ?, or chrome backing ? or different texture on the lense part ?, etc . .. ., does anyone know where i can just buy clear corner lenses for crx that look like regular clear corners ? like stanley / or stock ones ? thanks

 

Just source out some factory oem corners from overseas like Japan of Europe. The all had factory clear ones over there

 

oh, i did'nt know that, probably be more expensive getting ones from over there?, would'nt it?, i just can't believe i can't find any of the clear corners i like anymore on any of the sites in america ?, what happened?, they run out of them or what?,

i found some on MakotoAutoTrends.com that were the type i was looking for, for only $21 for the pair, and thought it was all perfect, until i found out the cheapest shipping was $26 !!!, which would be $47 total !!!, and then i checked out password jdm, and it was like $100 for a pair !!!, so i guess i'll now just look around for ones overseas on ebay and stuff to see if i can find anything?

i would'nt be looking for one if i did'nt mess the one i had up in first place,

mine was broken on the front half of the lense, and i had a couple extra clear corners, one had a broken mounting hole, other had broken clip on backside, etc...., so i had an idea to put broken lense in oven til glue was soft, and seperate the lense from the backing piece, and use that backing piece to glue a lense from one of the extra clear corners i had, cause it still had a good mounting hole which was'nt broken, so i got the lense seperated and off the back for the one that had broken lense, then i put the extra clear corner in oven to soften glue, but i was stupid and got distracted on the computer and forgot about it, and couple hours later freaked and went to take it out, and of course it was all messed up.

i searched on ebay.co.uk, and only thing i found was some used clear corners, for 75 pounds, which is $117 us, plus $30 shipping, so maybe the ones i found on MakotoAutoTrends.com for $21 + $26 shipping were'nt so bad, and might just get those,

and since i only needed the passenger one, i can sell my good drivers clear corner light on ebay and make some money back to cover getting the new pair.

i was'nt saying that the clear ones i had were oem really, just that they had that oem sort of look, cause when i put my oem corners that have the orange lense next to them, they look the same except the other ones are clear on the part where it would be orange.

but heres a pic of one of the extra ones i have thats not on the car, but are the same type as ones on the car,


they are the kind i'm looking for but can't find, cause usually i remember i could easily find a lot like these on ebay which were just $19.95 a pair, but now i can't for some reason?

 

Haha thats funny. A coincidence that is. Well, at the time i didnt know but i had some back into my drivers side fender shattering the corner light. They were clear ones like that and i noticed they said stanley on the back. I thought someone just peeled off the orange in the inside or something so i threw them away and noticed i could only find the regular orange ones. Good luck!

 

Also be careful with most jdm clear corner aftermarket lights. They will only come with 1 bulb socket for the front of the lense deleting the back bulb socket

sucks their cheapest shipping option is ups ground, which is $26 !, but worth it i guess, plus i can sell my drivers side clear corner thats good condition to make some money to make up for what i spend on the new ones.

but i think those are the type that RanCrx was talking about, that don't work with the US ones, cause the socket is different ?

 

Wow, are my eyes decieving me or is that first link the same ones as oem. If the first one has two bulb sockets per corner light, its golden. If its like the sevond link where they deleted the back bulb socket then that sucks.

i'm pretty sure those are'nt crx corner lights ?, cause if you scroll above and compare how it looks to the crx corners above, you can see how the curve along the rear top corner is curved a lot more on yours and the ones above are'nt, are you sure yours are'nt from a civic ? they look like to me, but thanks for offering and trying to help me out anyway

 

You can't use civic corners on a Crx, period!!

They are 4 different ef corners

- 88-89 civic
- 90-91 civic
-88-89 Crx
-90-91 crx

i suggest searching on ebay, they're still there, just search cause I puchased a set a couple months ago. they just sell out quickly.

 

i searched ebay and theres no clear corners for 90-91 crx, only ones are for 88-89 crx that have the screw holes in them, also searched amazon and nothing, and tried all the sites that came up on google search but they are all those cheap looking "euro-lights", with chrome or black back housing or weird reflective stuff on them, that don't look oem at all, so the only ones are the ones i saw on makoto auto trends.com, for $21 but with $26 shipping, and i think i'm going to order them.

 

you were right, about them still being there, and to just keep searching checking on ebay, cause i just searched again, and found a couple different pairs of clear corners for 90-91 crx's, the kind of clear corners i was looking for like the ones i had on my car before.

when i first made this post, i came to the conclusion that the only clear corners i could find were some that i found on makoto auto trends.com, but sucked that they were $21 but the shipping price for them was $26 !, but i decided to get them anyway, then i've waited for a couple weeks or more, and still never recieved them from them yet, and was about to contact them to ask why, but i got an email from them saying they refunded the money back to my card, but did'nt explain reason why they did?, maybe they were out of stock or something ?, but im' glad, cause they were too much with the shipping anyway, so i am just going to order the ones i found on ebay for $29.99 + free shipping, or i could get the ones for $46 which include a pair of clear bumper lenses also with bulbs, or for $64 theres a pair of clear corners with clear bumper lenses and clear side markers with bulbs for 90-91 crx too. . ..
