Default 97 SE Accord Wont Start, All Power

Okay, my niece drove her car to work and when she went to leave it wouldnt start. All dash lights work, Battery is good, fuel pump comes on but car will not turn over. There is no clicking at the starter like its trying to either. A couple things that may have something to do with it, when i turn key on there is a kinda rapid clicking for 1sec or 2 in the transmission. Also, when we cut key on, the P and D4 lights up but the D4 goes out, not sure if all them do that or not. I checked all fuses and all are good. Battery connection is good. I did take screwdriver and tried to jump the starter and it just sparked......So im thinking its the starter froze but i dont want her to go buy starter if its something else......Any Help or Idea??? And yes i did do a search before posting.

It sounds like the starter. To be sure, remove the starter and test it with jumper cables.

If the starter is doing rapid clicking it is most likely a power supply issue.

Check battery voltage, check the terminals are clean and tight. Most likely a drained or failing battery.

The clicking doesnt sound like its coming from the Starter, if i jack up the car and lay under it, the sound is louder and sounds like its in bottom of Trans, but not sure why. Im thinking its the starter but just wanted to double check with others before buying one. I know what it sounds like if its a starter issue but doesnt sound like that. At first it wasnt making no noise but then started the fast click or mis connection sound. Ill take starter out and test it....

I agree with mad mike. Make sure your connections are secure and working. I have seen cars with stuck open fuel injectors that have completely filled the oil pan with fuel and hydrolocked the car(not a good day nor was it a honda). Removing the starter isn't bad at all. You can take it to the auto store and have them test it for you.

apply direct power to the small terminal at the starter .. if it cranks its not the starter

make sure car is in neutral
