01 accord intemittent low idle to stall and hesitates below 2500rpm
I have a 01 accord with 2.3 vtec manual trans with very low idle to a stall intermittently. When it is idling low smells like it running rich. I have done a tune up, replaced IAC valve, fuel regulator, and rebuilt injectors. Also checked for vac. leaks and perjured coolant system of air. Help!

There a hundreds of threads on fixing idle issues, spend a few minutes using the search function and I'm sure you'll find some useful info if the problem isn't the fitv.
How old is the fuel filter? Did you use any injector cleaner additive in the gas tank recently?
Or maybe you need a valve adjustment? I'm just throwing ideas out there lol

The fitv will never EVER cause a low idle condition. Period. End of story.
The first thing I would look at if I had a low idle would be a new upstream Denso oxygen sensor. This assumes, cap, rotor, and spark plugs have been replaced.

I agree its not the fitv. Ilde is very low but not all the time. Some days purrs like a kitten at idle. Other days it will idle ok but is skipping and smells like its running rich. Also did I mention that it seems to hesitate when it first give it throttle and when I let off below 2500 rpm. But again it only does this for a couple of days then straightens out for a few days. hard to trouble shoot when its not always malfunctioning.

u know what if, its happening mainly during light throttle operations i would suggest cleaning out both the egr valve and egr ports
you can also disconnect the egr valve connector and when it throws a code for egr valve it will turn off egr ... if the issue subsides the issue is gunked up egr valve and egr ports

I had cleaned the ports to the egr value and disconnected it. I had not tried running it with it disconnected for a period of time. So I did and 15 min. down the road it straightened out and has for a week now. Guess I need yet another egr value it will be the third one. Any harm it just running it this way until it needs to go through emissions again? Thanks for your help holmesnmanny.
Also, check make sure you ECT sensor is working properly. Even if your gauge is right. The two wire one, than feeds info to the computer may not be saying the engine is at proper operating temp. Or, themostat? Is it stuck open?
The sensors which are responsible for A/F ratio, are the ECT and the O2 sensors. If you have an OBD2 reader, hook it up, and see what the ECT is showing, and see if your car goes into "closed loop". If it does, and it is running rich I would suspect the upstream O2 sensor(You also probably have a code thrown). If it stays in the open mode, check to see if you ECT is 180ish or no. If not, then I would suspect it or your thermostat.
