whats up guys. here is some info for you first.

Car: 92 dx hatch
Engine: b18b(stock)....havent bought it yet.
Purpose: daily driven+weekend HPDE/track *****

Ok, here is what im looking for. When on the track, boost will stay at 6 psi, nothing higher. When on the street, it will stay the same. If boost is raised, it will not be higher than 10(ON THE STREET).

Ok here is what im thnking:

Turbo : need mucho insight in this department. Im looking for mid-high end power. If i could reach 6 psi at 3000-3500 then i would be happy since revs will seldom drop that low.

for the rest here is what i was thinking:

Tial wastegate(dont know which one....Opinions???)
HKS SS
Max Rev or inlinepro manifold(which would be better for my purposes?)
Please suggest an intercooler
Either Hondata 2b or 3b
what size injectors for the power i will make.....310s, 440s?
all the plumbing and gauges


As you can see, i need some insight. Im looking for a quality set-up, but also want reliability.

get the engine and then decide.

but i suggest buying a turbo kit. instead of piecing one together for the first time.

 

i dono about that.. if you research enough you will find some good info about piecing together your own kit. that's what i've done.


that's what i have so far... and i've never done a turbo before. just make sure you know what you're buying beforehand.

the max rev is fine for what you need. that's what i'm going to be running too.

turbo: a t3 will be fine. you can usually find the .48 a/r t3s from a lot of older cars in the junkyard.
for the tial, you're not going to need anything more than a regular 35mm. get the .45 bar spring (about 6.5 psi before the intercooler)
intercooler: PWR sells some nice ones for a pretty good price. ninescrx sells them. i have a drag cuz it matches the diameter of my drag piping.
if you want hondata, get the basic 2b or s200 setup with boost, and you'll be fine with some RC 440s or some DSM 450s (but u have to use a resistor box)
hks ss is good
and you can get piping from jc whitney.
it seems like you understand the basics.. just keep reading before you buy anything major.

think arturbo has inline pro mani's...ive seen lots of t3's on ebay lately, but you would most likely want to rebuild on of those, but it would be worth it they're really cheap...think hondasaver 2kTEG and Rocket still have gb's on the tials...thats all i got for now hehe

oh and sutrusu, i like the carpet hehe we'll have to meet up when you get your turbo setup done next spring...michigan peeps represent lol
