97 v6 Oil leak
So the title says it all. It seems to be coming from the little 'hole' to the right of the bolt (turn your head left). Is that even possible and what do i do? it also seems to only leak when the car is warming up. The car is just shy of 200k and i would like to keep it but the oil companies would make a fortune out of me. Thanks in advance.
I had a similar looking problem in my toyota. It ended up being a seal on the oil pump. The cars are different and I am no expert so dont take that as advice, BUT if it turns out to be an issue that requires a mechanic, take the time to find someone who has done the repair before. We had found the problem, took it to several mechanics who decided to tell us it was a different problem and basically wanted to replace abunch of pointless items. We ended up finding a guy who works on nothing but imports, had done the repair, and he fixed it without an issue. In other words... Dont trust any mechanic on these vehicles.. They dont always know what they think they do.
Sorry, I meant that it is coming from that hole but I cant see what it leads too or why is it even there. There was no fresh oil from the top of the hole.
And is there any way to test the oil pump seal? or should I just have it replaced because its so old?

^^do this, take it for a quick spin and see if it leaks. also look around cause it might be coming from another part of the engine and leak over to it.
would also help if u tell us where this is located at, front driver side, passenger side, rear of engine???
