Default Help! Civic acting weird out of the blue

I own a 93 civic ex with 1.6L vtec...anyways it's running rough but not all the time...it clears up sometimes...then out of the blue it will die and blow the ecu fuse...and it won't restart and will continue to blow the fuse 3-4 times (right when I turn the key on) before it will stop blowing them and start/run ok for about a week then it will do it again. It started doing all this all of a sudden...at first I thought I got some crappy gas, but that was 2 tankfulls ago....I have had the car for 2 1/2 yrs with no problems...250k miles...I replaced o2 sensor thinking that May have been part of the problem (it did nothing) any help or ideas would be much appreciated...I love my civic and hate for her to be sick

Check all of your grounds. Especially the one on your thermostat housing, and on the bell housing. A loose connection causes heat - a loose or shitty ground connection or ANY electrical connection can cause higher amperage draw than normal... i would start with that because its the easiest.
If not that i would look into a short somewhere or corrosion...check in the fuse box next to the battery for any corrosion or obviously anything out of the ordinary..(pull all fuses and relays and carefully inspect, double check the wires connections also) worst case the problem is in the ECU itself it would be ideal if you had access to a donor ECU to try...
Good Luck!
