96 EK: Can't get my climate control out!!!
I searched and had very little luck.
I can not for the life of me get the climate control unit out of my 96 Civic hatch. I get all the panels off and the bezel loose but there is no slack on that damn black (what i believe is) heater cable. I can barely see where it goes on the back of the unit and have tried twice now with no luck.
Is there an easy way to unhook this cable so i can pull the CC unit out? The bulbs are shot and i have been trying to install the replacements for 2 days now..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OH NOES!!! WHAT TO DO!!! CURSE YOU HONDA FOR BEING DICKS!!!
From the passenger side look towards the the firewall and center and you'll see a cable you need to unhook.

It unhooks at the firewall? Every (crappy) write up i've seen they said the cable goes through the firewall, so you're saying it splits there and can be disconnected? That would make it very easy and i will kick myself for not tracing the cable in the opposite direction if true...
Hatch It, Passenger floor board, right under the dash 1 gold screw removes the retainer, pull the cord out of the c-lip holder and then off the switch prong.
the cord goes to the big blower black box under passenger side dash.
