Icon2 2001 transmission rebuild

Wanted to start rebuilding my 2001 transmission today, after getting the bearings pressed I started to reassemble the transmission and ran into a disaster.

I left the speed sensor installed and then dropped in the LSD, and it looks like I chipped part of the LSD thread that attaches to the sensor or when they pressed in the bearing they messed it up during the press?? I dont know anymore

Some pix attached of the damage, also it seems that when I spin it counter clockwise the sound is very minimal, but clock wise its much louder, when the car is driving is lsd spinning clock wise or counter? If the noise is only going to be in reverse I can live with that.

also a quick video of the sound, at this point any info would be appreciated, fixable? leave it at is it? Get a new LSD? Uhhh

just found this info on the site https://honda-tech.com/forums/transmission-drivetrain-127/b-series-transmission-teardown-rebuild-tutorial-2443459/ it seems that the speed sensor does NOT have to be removed, if that is the case this makes me think the company that pressed in the new bearings messed up.

I don't believe the speedo gear runs on the edge of the drive gear. I don't see it presenting an issue.

You can see the speedo turning at one point in the video, if I remove it the noise goes away, the contact point is that threaded part that's chipped. I might try to file down the sharp edge to see if it will blend in smoother.

you should be able to clean it up... how does the gear look on the vss?

The vss is clean, I found out that the speed ring can be replaced, I just picked one up should be arriving this week, I'll take it to a new place to get the old one removed and press in the new one.

Yeah I was going to say just replace the ring, but when I look it up on the pars catalog it wasn't showing it. I know the k series diff has it... That's good to hear..

I also picked up a new clutch, after I removed the old one, it seems that the flywheel teeth are moving freely back and forth a bit, is this normal?

So I got the new ring I'm going to get it pressed in by another shop. I also noticed that I had a small leak around the oil pan so I got a new gasket and started to remove the pan. after cleaning it out I found this metal in the bottom of the pan, after looking it over I noticed that one of the oil jets under the piston was broken off, how the hell does this happen?
I'm going to replace it with a jet from my old GSR engine that I have for parts, anyone how what could have gone wrong? Before I pulled the transmission the engine was running fine and strong.
