not much into the appearence gig but i really liked the way the all red tail lights look and started wondering if they're offered for the 92 accord coupe and where to find a set.

 

most people paint them red...I dont know the details about it though. I like the way all reds look.

 

paint? what kind of paint would you use for that and would it all be uniform with the orange and clear in there too?

Testors Candy Apple Red, transparent. Clean, Tape off, shoot, nice light coats, til satisfied. I went the extra step and cleared them with a hvlp gun and some ppg concept clear...shiny as stock now. Just the red paint will make them less glossy than stock, but still ok looking.

well I dont know much about it, I think you take out the parts and use paint thinner and a fine grit sand paper, you can use some different types of transparent paints on the inside and the outside to get a full red look. But I am not experianced with any of this, I am just guessing on what I heard a long time ago.

 

JDM tail light paint, light emitting yet cover up all the orange color.

i did mine ... i took a soctch brite pad and cleaned my stock tails with denatured alcohol then i painted them with KRYLON STAIN GLASS PAINT heavy coat let it dry wet sanded that .. and cleared them the same process i painted them with duepont clear in a can used for automotive stuff they came out beautifull i wish i had a pic .. and they are darker then stock so they almost have a "smoked" look looks IMO i also have a couple of cans laying around if you need some 6bucks and ill ship you some

 

thanks for the replies guys. how many cans of that stuff did you have to use to get the look? i was also looking at the red and clear only tail lights. seen'em on ebay for $60-70 so i may eventually get to that. i'm budgeted very tightly though right now since i'm trying to get an h22 under the hood by next summer.
