Acceleration Problem 92 Accord
Hello I have a 92 Accord 2.2L I just got the car and can admit im no expert. When I opened the hood i had a major oil leak problem. So i just replaced the valve cover gasket and went ahead and did the timing belt along with the water pump. Now I'm having a problem when I accelerate. The car is very slow and doesn't get above 3k rpms. Also has new Pugs and Wires Transmission Fluid is good.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You may need to check your timing, since the timing belt was replaced. It could be off a tooth or two which would definitely cause it not to accelerate. It may even sputter when you try to hit the gas
How would you know if the timing is off? and how would you go about fixing it ? obviously take everything back off so you can adjust it. But how would I know where it needs to be?
There is a timing mark on the bottom pulley and the timing belt cover. should be ticks on hte bottom of the timing belt cover right above the bottom pulley. If you have a timing light with the engine running the mark on the pulley and the mark on your timing cover should be at the same position. If not, you can losen your distibutor and turn it so that that marks are at the same level. If you cannot do it this way you will have to go back in to the belt and depending on where the mark is, move the belt forward or backwards a tooth until you get the marks lined up. There may be a better/easier way but thats how i know to do it...
The cam sprocket has marks and an UP mark for when setting base cam timing. Removing the cam sprocket cover, rotate the crank til the UP mark on teh cam sprocket is UP and the lines on the sprocket lines up with the head surface.
Open the timing cover hole at the flywheel and check that the white mark is lined up the pointer.

(Very new to working on cars) I made sure the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys Were both lined up perfectly With the UP Indicators even had an experienced mechanic check it cause i really wasnt sure. He assured me it was right. So I have a hard time believing that my timing is off. Is there something else that it could be ? or should i just removed all the covers and everything again to make sure nothing shifted? Also when I take the Car out of Drive and put it in 1 then 2 and the Drive I have great acceleration no problem until the car shifts into third gear.
Thanks for all the help so far by the way!

If you did not reset or check ignition timing, then it is probably. Note the picture I linked, there is no difference for checking between AT or MT.
Get a timing light, attach it to the spark plug lead closest to the cam belt, that it #1.
At the bellhousing for the transmission there should be a rubber plug, this plug covers the timing pointer and the two marks for the base timing(red), and TDC(white) marks.
Turn the engine on, let it warm up. Turn it off.
Go to your passenger side kick panel, and look for a two wire blue connector. It should be tucked within the wire harness. Jumper the two wire connector with a wire/paperclip. Turn the engine back on, this should disable the timing advancement from the ECU.
With the timing light point it at the hole in the transmission bellhousing. If your timing is correct the light will blink when the pointer and red mark is lined up.
If not your base ignition timing is off and will need to be adjusted.
Would be best to verify that your camshaft timing is correct before changing the ignition timing.
