Default 5th Gen Oil Tap Port Near Vtec Solenoid Assy?

I'm looking to do away with the sandwich ftg. between Honda oil cooler and oil filter that allows me to tap my mechanical Op gauge into.

Looking over the passenger fender, I've spotted to the left of the vtec solenoid assy. what appears to be a plugged orifice, (maybe a service or Honda test port or something?) Looks like it has a copper colored socket head plug in it with a red thread sealant.

I'm wondering if it would be a good read point for the 1/8" BSPT for my 1/8" NPT adapter instead of my mechanical gauge attach point I'm using on my pancake adapter now.

sorry no pictures but viewed from the passenger fender, it's to the left of the vtec solenoid, in the face of the block, just over and to the front or right of the coolant air bleeder fitting.

Thanks!

If it is before the vtec solenoid in the oiling system it will be great, if after, it would only see oil pressure when in vtec.

It sounds like it's the test port for vtec pressure...which will only work for vtec pressure.
