Default 2014 Civic LX for 18.9?

Hey guys... I really need your help. Tomorrow I am going into the dealership to finalize a deal on a 2014 Civic LX for 18.9 OTD price...

I am wondering what you guys think about that price? This is an LX with mudguards... no other options, it seems. The guy said I could "pick any car in the lot" for the same price but looking at the inventory online, it looks like there's not really a wide variety of accessories

The price breakdown comes out to be:
  • $17,900 price of the car
  • ~$1050 titles, tax and registration fees
  • Subtract $500 because I am financing through Honda (excellent credit, 0.9% apr)

I am in Maryland, sales tax is 6%. This would be a brand new plate...

I am a little wary about the 18.9 price, only because I made some mistakes when talking to the salesperson. I basically told him that I had no idea what I was doing and that this was my first time buying a car... preeeeeetty sure he could smell a sucker :/

Do you think I could successfully negotiate him down to 18.5 or even 18.3?

Those of you with '14 LX's.. what did you pay for it?

***I remember buying my first new car, I paid the asking price.... a lot wiser and older now...

Did you check any of the sites as to what others are paying? You can go to a dealer online and get a quote.... or go to another dealer in the area (make sure not the same owners). Google is your friend.....
What is the sticker and dealer cost compared to what you are paying?
Do you belong to costco? They have an auto buying program that can save you some money.
Check this out.... http://www.truecar.com/prices-new/ho...2013/3E8C4363/
Looks like a decent price....but I would try and get a another hundred off, or throw in a couple of oil changes....

That doesn't sound like a terrible price.

Go to a different dealership and get a price from them.

Use a unhaggle.com and you will see the lowest price for your car on it.
For a $99 fee a dealership rep will contact you and sell you the car at the price shown.

Search around online. Unhaggle.com will save you hundreds if not thousands.
best free advice youll get.

I agree the price isn't that bad...

But the key is always to shop around. Before just jumping into it go to another dealer. When you get there tell you want a 2014 Civic LX (auto or manual your choice), the color you want, options you would like and the price you want to pay (18.5).

See what the dealer tells you. I would do that before going back to your original dealer as now you will have something to fight with. This will probably taken him by surprise as he won't expect it from you.

Remember you are the boss not them. No need to be scared bud dealership are called stealership's for a reason cause they are all a bunch of ********. So walk in thinking like an ******* when you are dealing with ******** lol.
