high idle after cleaning trottle body iacv
96 accord I removed the throttle body iacv and the fuel injectors to clean them I I was told that it would stop my surging idle I had a tps code and told this would help
eh. did the tps code just pop up out of nowhere or did you do work to it before it came about. it is easy to mix up the map sensor and tps connectors as they are the same. and if your getting a tps code you may want to look into replacing it with a new or used tb from the junkyard. also check the wiring to the tps.
on the connector with a multimeter check the voltage on the 2 outer terminals. it should read approx. 5 volts.
now check resistance on the tps itself. fully closed should be 1000 ohms. now slowly open the throttle and the ohms should steadily increase to 3000 to 6500 ohms. if the readings are bad replace the tps.

the tps code was on when I got the car will a vacuum leak cause a high idle because I think I hear a slight hiss but cant tell because of the noise from the engine and I don't think my map sensor can even reach mt tps but ill try switching them any way
only a vacuum leak will cause a high idle not a tps code
