Default New member-1990 civic si

I've been seeing threads and decided to make one myself. I got my car for $800 about 6 months ago. Bought it with a bad block but bought a replacement zc with tranny from a friend for $400. Successfully swapped it and since then i have had some things slowing me down(accident and stolen). I'm in high school and recently just got a job so the build should start soon. As of right now it's running really poorly(getting 18 mpg, yeah i know!) and needs a major alignment as it was in an accident not so long ago. I should be buying my alarm tomorrow and should get it aligned tomorrow. Then i should start on working on my bad mpg. Thanks for reading!(sorry for not having photos, im on my phone and dont know how to upload some, i'll upload some tomorrow)

That's the car I want. I just can't find one in good shape. I can't believe people are still stealing these things.

Awesome car, though. Keep up the good work!

Welcome, My spouse's car looked like this 12 years ago. Now it has a B16 and ruby red metallic on the outside. We both are in our 50's and both adore our little EF's. Unless forced we both will not drive anything else. We both have had muscle cars when we were younger, and I currently have an EM1 that will be for sale very soon. In other words, love your car and don't do anything not reversible. You may be driving this car for for a while.
Regards
Dave

Thanks for the tips dave. My plans for it as of right now is to get it running correctly and eventually swap it for a b16a or turbo it. I'm still undeceived though. Although having a turbo'd car during high school is my dream i'm not quiet sure if it will be the best idea.

Good luck with your project! It takes a ton of work to get it where you want it to be (unless you pay someone else to do it), but it will be worth it. I can't believe you got it back in the same condition after it was stolen. Nothing missing?

Update! Just got my clifford 330.3x alarm installed and i love the 2 way remote. Also got my alignment done this weekend. The crossmember is bent due to the accident but overall rides a hell of a lot better now. I plan on replacing it soon, after i get my mpg to a decent number. I'm still in high school and i'm trying to make my car run right so sorry if you don't see some nice upgrades just yet. It might take a while so bare with me. I have a couple things on my list before i can start buying the goodies!
