97 accord f22b1 acting up.
My car will run awesome for a day and then i go to drive somewhere and it just idles rough and it has a slight loss in power the idle is at about 1500 rpm and is popping like. Soo?? With that said... Tps? Map sensor? Coil? What? It has new ignition switch, plugs and wires and a new fuel pump relay and new fuel pump recently installed. Compression is 175 on all cylinders. Whole Car has 65k miles it sat for about 5 years while guy served in military i bought it when he got home about a month ago.im trying to boost the motor and need it to be 100% ready.
^^^^ x2. Your EGR ports and EGR components are probably all gunked up if the previous owner never cleaned them.
If you're preppeing for boost, might want to clean the whole intake manifold/plenum/TB too. Might be easier to do the whole EGR job with it all out of the car, knock it all out at once. Just my two cents.

if you cleaned the egr ports its more than likely around that area.
spray some starting fluid around that area. if the rpms raise then its more than likely in that area.

I sprayed starting fluid every spot around the manifold and around the egr and all vacuum lines. No change in idle. Could it be a sensor of some sort? Keep in mind the car sat for 5 years, if that could be in any way relevant.
your egr control valve could be bad. check the vacuum line that is on the egr valve. if it has vacuum at start up the control valve is bad. the egr is only supposed to open while the vehicle is warm and running at higher rpms.
again if there is vacuum present at the egr at startup and idle, that is where your vacuum leak lies.
