sorry this may be long. my distributor went out on me a week ago. while the car was down i bypassed the fast idle valve and the intake was ported. got everything put back together and the car idles fine and will rev to redline. as soon as you try to put it in gear and go it starts bucking and the tach needle jumps and the car just refuses to go. theres no check engine light. i have stumped 2 of my mechanics so i m coming to you all here. any help is apprecieated.thanks in advance.---joe

No check engine light. But have you run the codes? Is your car throwing any codes??

I might un-bypass your FIV and see what happens. Actually, I'd probably post this in the Tech Forum too.

 

im gonna unbypass the valve tomorrow. i figured some accord ppl may have heard of this before.
