What parts do I need?
So on the way home Monday my car blew the hg mostly because I cheaped out and put that horrible composite hg on instead of the mls one. So I've been wanting to do the mpfi swap for a while and I figured now would be a great time to do it. I'm picking up a z6 intake mani and p06 ecu because I'm going to convert to obd1 also. What dizzy do I need? I need the code that's stamped on it if possible. Also what Arp head studs do I need for my D16A6? The ones I think I need are the 203-4301 ones but it says that's for the z6. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.
Edit: I looked on the arp website the 203-4301 are for both the z6 and a6.

A6 and Z6 are the same block, so you solved that one yourself. Go OEM on the head gasket. The ARP studs are figured out.
You need the Z6 distributor.
Googled that, thought it was a good reply to that question too.
So, summing it up, HG and Studs for the Z6 and A6 are the same I believe. You have the number for that.
Distributor is TD42U.

But that dizzy is for vtech and that won't work because I'm not going vtech. After searching that number i came up with TD41u being the non-vtech obd 1 dizzy. Does this sound right?
If you are just doing an MPFI swap then don't both going OBD1.
Really very pointless in your case since you gain nothing other than spending more money.
You will only need the D16A6 distributor and ECU.
If you still have your heart set on wasting money on OBD1, the distributor for your P06 will be any OBD1 distributor that didn't come from a vtec engine. TD-41U

Well I already have a dpfi to mpfi harness but it is also obd0-obd1 and I want to go turbo in the future and I know it is easier to tune obd1 than obd0. Thats the main drive behind it.
Also. VTEC.
What harness do you have that is converting your car from DPFI to MPFI?

A jumper harness at the ECU will not convert a car from DPFI to MPFI. You would need some sort of harness for the injectors and additional wires ran from the ECU to the distributor. I'm boggled by a 'jumper harness'. The Rywire harness, or something similar, is much larger and by no means is a jumper harness.
I believe so - assuming you have a D16A6 head.
I went through your post again and I confused myself.
I'm wondering how you have a D16A6 engine in your care that isn't already MPFI converted.
Did you blow the stock DX motor and replace the long block, but leave the DPFI intake on it?
Seems you might have - just checking.

Yeah the old d15 lost a cylinder so I replaced it with the d16a6 longblock and kept the dpfi crap. I then blew a hg so i figured might as well change over to the mpfi also. Also someone else said that the z6 hg should b the same, is this true? Also will the honda oem one be the graphite or will it be the mls?
