help! civic rear disc conversion 96 civic hatch dx
looked around and so confused i have a 96 civic hatch dx bought a 99--00 si rear traling arm i guess my question is that do i have to use the 1 brake master cylinder or will the 15/16 one that i have in there work i no there are threads on this but i am just confused any help i can get i appreciate
15/16th made a big difference from my stock 13/16th as far as pedal feel on my eg hatch with 4 wheel disk brakes. My car has gsr rotors front and rear.99 civic ex calibers front, gsr calibers on the rear. Don't know why just bought the car that way.when my master leaked I bought a gsr master cylinder. At the time I thought everything was gsr swamped over. I was wrong. The gsr does not bolt up to the civic booster.
I purchased a 93 civic si master cylinder (13/16th). Bolted it up and stopped fine but the pedal had to much travel/play for my liking. I researched on here and found out about the 15/16th master. My local Honda dealer said they no longer make them. I tried a few of the local auto parts store. Be careful and double check that you get the right one. I went to three auto parts store before I got the bigger one. Since the smaller size does bolt up and work two of the auto parts listed the same part for my eg as the 91 ex.
