I think your trunk is leaking and running under your seat, seems to be a common problem with them, mine does the same thing, but ive never looked around about how to fix it

I have a few other issues this takes a "back seat" to lol

P.S. i have the 5th gen, not sure if the 4ths and 3rds are similar problems

Judging by your name you have a 93 OP?

It could be your drain tubes for the sunroof are plugged up, one way to test them is to slowly pour a bit of water in the sunroof tray, the lines come out in front of the rear tire on either side, underneath the car so you'll see water dripping on the floor if there clear. Bit of compressed air through the lines will clear them there clogged but don't go crazy and give it a full blast of air or you'll blow the hoses from the connections.

The taillight gaskets are NOTORIOUS for failing seals and allowing water to enter. You could buy new ones, but a useful trick I've found is to use a little bit of grease on the contact surfaces of the gasket then re-install the taillight, tightening from the center out. Make sure you clean both the back of the taillight and the body where the taillight recesses into.
