for example take same engine in my sig made 200whp with gsr tranny and 205-50-16 wheels
dynoed in 3rd gear
if i switch to for example jdm itr tranny and 205-40-16 wheels how much will that affect the dyno numbers
i would assume the dyno would show higher numbers because of smaller diameter tires and shorter gears/final drive
is there a calculator of some sort?

The only thing that will change is seat of the pants feel, the numbers are what they are. You are simply moving the torque curve around with gear ratio changes. Little change will be realized on the dyno.

Provided the dyno is set up with the correct information, you should get nearly the same number. If you change something and they don't notice the change, you numbers will be different and will not be an accurate measure of power.

Thats called flywheel hp
whp is not same.
if u get faster times with smaller diameter tire and shorter gears
Why wouldnt it show on the dyno i dont understand

Im no expert on this subject but I would imagine the power will be the same on dyno. Where it would make a difference is on the street and on your 1/4 mile times depending on gear ratio, if you have lsd or not, spring rates, whether or not you have a traction bar, tires, etc..
