Default what is this leaking part? need help identifying something

There is a hose running from the top of the engine to the intake manifold, and it's leaking some sort of fluid where it enters the top of the head. I'm not sure what this is... Fuel line? PCV valve+hose? Please advise... I don't want my car to catch fire if it's a fuel leak. Thanks!

I can't post actual pics yet but here is a link showing the leak I'm talking about: http://tinypic.com/r/2uqn7h2/8

That would be the PCV valve. If it is leaking oil the grommet for the PCV valve may be worn out. PCV valve grommets tend to harden up and shrink with age, no longer providing a seal and allowing oil to leak out.

But before replacing anything;
Wipe up all the oil and verofy the condition of the grommet and remove the valve, verify it is clear of oil and rattles, if it is jammed it will not properly regulate air flow through the PCV system. Verify that the fresh air feed for the PCV system(hose in left corner of valve cover to air intake hose) is also not damaged or plugged. This will inhibit fresh air from recirculating through out the crankcase.

Is it supposed to be very loose? It wiggles around quite a bit when I touch it. Is there not supposed to be ANY oil in there at all? (Ie, is it just a hose for air to pass from the crank case to the intake mani?)

My oil dipstick reads about 6-7mm above MAX since I changed the oil a few days ago, could that be what's causing the leak? Too much oil in the pan?

No, the valve should not be loose. The grommet should be snug and hold the valve in place. If the grommet is that sloppy, and you have the correct PCV valve, then the grommet is in need of replacement.

There will be a bit of oil build in the PCV valve hose. As the engine is running, vapors and oil mist may be sucked into the PCV valve. But if the hose is full of oil then there is something causing too much oil to be ingested. Either from a faulty PCV system, oil too thin becoming aerated, or possibly too much oil in the crank case.

Too much oil in the pan would not cause a leak, but if there was enough oil to become aerated by the spinning crank from windage, then there may be excessive aerated oil and oil mist through out the crankcase that would be ingested by the PCV valve.
A damaged grommet, incorrectly functioning PCV valve, loose/worn/cracked hoses, or excessive pressure in the crankcase(due to blow-by) would cause an external leak.

The grommet is leaking. It's very clear. Also the hose appears to be collapsing. You need a new pcv hose too.

Ok so I replaced the pcv valve and grommet. The old grommet looked okay tbh but I replaced it anyways. I figure the oil was probably getting sucked into the pcv system because the oil pressure was too high due to there being a bit too much oil in the pan. I drained enough oil so that it reads just below MAX on the dipstick, so hopefully there won't be as much oil sucked into the pcv system now.

Crossing my fingers! Thanks for the advice... Every little problem is turning out to be a great learning opportunity... Now I understand the purpose and function of the pcv valve! I'll keep you posted.
