Icon2 Dilemma in choosing a new motor HT please help.

So out of no where last week my motor blew on me out of nowhere in my 91 crx and I need to replace the motor, only thing is I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to swaps, what motor goes with what trans obd0-2 etc..... I had a non vtec sohc zc and was looking to get a sohc vtec this time around, but not exactly sure what route to go. Car is my daily so I'm trying to find something and get it thrown in there asap. Any suggestions or enlightenment would be greatly welcomed.

Like he said ^^^^ d16z6. you will have to get the ecu with it and wire in the vtec solenoid to the ecu (easier than it sounds). your stock transmission and clutch will work fine with that engine. you will also need to either run your stock injectors or wire out the resistor box to use the d16z6 ones because the obd0 injectors are low impedence peak and hold and the obd1 injectors are saturated type. since you said youre a newb, buy this jumper i've linked below and save yourself the wiring trouble. you will need it to hook up the d16z6 dizzy to your obd0 harness.

He also needs the ECU jumper. I have a thread... eff it. I'll find it for you.

There is an ECU jumper in there. Buy it too.

When he said SOHC, I think he meant D-series.

Also, I personally prefer less sarcasm in this forum. Try and keep it on topic and satire free unless there is some tech to be explained.
