Default H22 EG Engine placement test

More of an informative thread, we decided to test moving our H22 back in the engine bay 1" which was allowed by the use of an Xcessive engineering (under-engineered) intake manifold.

Reasons were both weight distribution and clearance for the turbo manifold/full width radiator.

What we have found so far, the placement of engine weight from side to side has become almost equal. Weight is applied to the frame rail within 1/4" on either side. Weight has been directed over the front wheel base by an inch. Which actually places a slight bit more weight on the rear but nothing drastic.

Axle alignment is nearly perfect now. We had bind issues since day one and hope this clears all that up.

I will post up pictures and updates as time goes on.

We started with a hasport kit and hasport axles. Redesigned the drivers mount (CNC mount) the rear mount plate and did a small amount of fab work to the passenger rail mount to make this work.

This is exactly what we did with our ESP EG/DC H/F made a better kit, tons of ground clearance with slammed car, straight axle alignment, PS possible. We take what doesn't work on the market and improve it

H/F Motors sit further back then B motors. This is how a turbo EF H was possible and born. Roughly 3-4" more room up front. Great for turbo.
