Hey guys so i got the car 6 months ago, clean as F. no rust no one played with the wires anywhere the car is oem. I once got a check engine couple months ago wich went away.. Now i'ts been 2 days that its on. Code 2 and code 9. Oxygen content and number one cylinder (CYP) but the ecu isn't on limp mode, revs all the way to the redline and the vtec still kicks. I am not sure where to look for code 9, is it a damaged wire or connector ? I dont know where it's located.. and also for code 2 what am i looking after ? oxygen content i have no idea, i've owned 5 honda's/Acura's, swapped engine etc but never got those codes ? please help thanks !

You probably need a new distributor. The one you have is likely going bad. The CYP could be the reason you are getting the code 2 also. Try a new distributor.

 

Ya what you're saying doesn't sound stupid at all, sometimes at idle or while rolling there is a lil jerk like it loses fire for a millisecond but it doesn't happen often its not a big jerk but i feel it, i mean vtec kicks hard, all the way to the redline, idles perfectly at 750, no loss in power at all, so i was questioning a lot ! so i might check for a new distributor or get mine rebuilt thanks

 

Yeah, or borrow one if possible and see if it fixes the issue.
