Need help with lowering 1997 Accord...
My son bought some cheap springs off of ebay to lower his car and they blew out the struts....
So I am trying to help fix this.
He is looking to lower his car. He is not competing. So I think a nice spring / strut combo is what we are looking for. Can you guys please give some suggestions as to what products to go with?
Thank you

If he does not know what the spring rate is then you will not be able to correctly pair the shocks to springs. If the struts are too stiff, the car will crash over bumps, if too soft the car will bounce all over and feel uncontrollable at times.

On the rear if you need to reduce camber, adding washers between the upper rear control arm and the body will reduce camber, however you will need to purchase longer bolts to use the washers. ~3 washers per degree of camber.
On the front you may need to use a 'camber kit' that will either be an adjustable BJ or a control arm with adjustable BJ.
SPC makes adjustable BJ in -1.5-1.5 or -3.0-3.0
However I would call and speak with someone at Eibach first to see what they recommend for the lowering kit you purchased.

Well, it looks like the Eibach springs are on back order. They only other option (purchasing from the same company) is H&R Sport Spring set.
How do these compare to the Eibach springs?
My son mentioned K Sport.
I have already purchased the Koni Srt.t struts.

I have koni str.t's w/ eibach pro kit. My only complaint is they seemed to have put a thin layer of cheap paint on them. They rusted on the bottom within a year up here in the snowbelt. I emailed Koni and they said the maximum drop they can handle is 1.5" so just keep that in mind when choosing a spring. Check into polyurethane suspension bushings as well. They make quite a difference compared to rubber ones imo.
I would just save the headache, return everything, and just get a set of D2 coilovers or Function Form Type 1's. Then you dont have to worry about spring rates, struts, etc. On a side note, let this be a lesson to not let your son buy no name cheap junk on eBay.
I use the H&R full coilovers on my 96 and I love them, ride smooth yet handle like a porsche! A little soft at times but they're well rounded. I have 17in rims with low pro tires and have less than an inch of fender/top of wheel gap. hell of a camber kit front and rear to make up for the drop though
