Default My ricer paint job.

My kid and I took a community ed body shop class to fix up our DX. Turned out OK. It could use some more sanding, at least another coat and a coat of clear or 2 but I ran out of time and money but it looks a ton better than when I started.

If you want see some before pics you can hit the links in my sig line.

I could if you'd like. It has several drips, spots that need to be resanded to smooth out filled spots, etc. It also didn't spray on quite right so it looks a bit different than the original color (MH583M Vogue Silver Metallic).

It does look a ton better than it did when we bought it. The quarter panel behind the drivers door looked terrible. It had been caved in really bad and been half assed beat out, looked like a topo map of the rockies. It took us forever to pull it, fill it and sand it to where it looks decent. I found even more problems I as we progressed which i had to address.

The grill and fog light bezels were supposed to be body color but I didn't prep them right and the paint started to peel. I painted them BHA0928 Graphite Gray Metallic after I fixed the problem.

Looks zebra striped on the door? Silver is a difficult to spray, even those with experience.

Maybe some before pics would help us appreciate your guys's work.

I noticed that when I posted the pic as well. You can see others depending on the the angle and lighting. If I had realized the issues involved with this color I might have used a different one.

There are 2 links to the other threads I have posted regarding this car with earlier pictures at the top of my sig line ( https://honda-tech.com/forums/introduce-yourself-162/beyond-obligatory-intro-post-99-dx-hatch-3174840/ and https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/ricer-progress-99-ej6-hatch-mini-me-fix-up-build-thread-3175512/ ). I wish I had a pic of the messed up quarter panel before we started working on it but it didn't occur to me.
