Default First gear is a pain to engage and disengage

New clutch less than 5000 miles ago. I've been doing a lot of racing and my first gear is hard to engage and especially disengage. Is it a synchro issue, clutch issue, or what? Just curious what I have to replace and any insight on the topic. Thanks.

Sounds like a typical B clutch issue when the springs pop out.

Either a clutch issue (though you should see some issues with Reverse as well) or the 2nd gear sleeve teeth are worn enough that they are digging into the 1-2 hub causing some pressure and drag, too.
