single stage urethane question

Default single stage urethane question

i have a 91 integra slammed i have caddi gloss black single stage urethane i was wondering can i clear coat it too?

Why would you? It's single stage urethane. It should retain a glossy, satisfactory, finish if it is quality paint. I'm not saying you can't spray clear. But why not use regular paint if you want to clear it?

you can add a clear coat for a deeper gloss and more protection. Check the tech sheet for the amount of time to wait before you clear coat it. The single stage urethane I just shot says to wait at least 4 hours.

You can, if the single stage is already set you can clear over the single stage. You just need to follow the manufacture of the clears instructions. They will tell you what sand scratch will give you the best mechanical adhesion.
