opinions for my eg
I want to do something to my eg to give it alittle noticible get up and go. It has a d15b non vtec in it now. It runs good, no smoke, no leaks, its my dd. Unfortunitly i have no idea of milege cause its not what came in the car and the cluster has been changed. I was under the assumtion i could get a d16z6 for 500 or less, I was told wrong on that one. I can't even find one period. I found acouple d16y8's. One with 166k and one with over 200k, either engine would be 700 bucks. Their both at the same salvage yard. They run and are still in the cars. No smoke but thats all i know right now. But is more than likely out of my price range right now. So i doubt that will be an option although it started as one. Ive been doing alot of reading in the forumns both here and others. There seems to be alot of debate on the mini me which was another option. I have the whole d16z6 top end. Dont really wanna do it myself cause im afraid i may mess up the timing. But ive worked on many cars so i may still give it a shot myself esp since i cant find anyone where im at that will do it. And the ones who will are very unreasonable on price. But with alot of positive stuff and alot of negative stuff ive read, i need somemore input on that one from you guys. Last was to boost it, not extreme. Im not racing and its my dd so it needs to stay reliable. Found some decent priced turbo kits on ebay, (i know, i know). But hence why i dont need alot of boost esp not on my15. But id like to know if any of you guys have gone the ebay route and safe pressure to run if i went this way. And just to throw in, what about the mini me with boost, would that be better? I dont know myself because of the raised comp ratio. So any and all input is appreciated. Any threads i may havnt read, throw my way. Thanks

I would cause i like integras, but the ones in my area aren't real nice for the ones ive seen around here. And the nice ones I cant afford. Like I said, i dont wanna race any car. If that were the case id build something but im on a strict budget right now. Not to say mine is great, but i kinda like what I have for the most part, and its in pretty good shape compared to alot of them including the integras. Anyone with some good advice as to the actual stuff I posted? Thanks.
Do the mini me swap its pretty easy just look on the FAQ, and piece together a turbo kit and invest in a good wastegate and bov, cx racing has some decent turbos from what I hear and they r on the low low price, $150 for the turbo on amazon, also on the FAQ u will fin information on everything needed for a complete turbo kit, and try to get new rods and pistons when doin head swap, stock bore just hone the cylinders and then u could run more boost
Thanks. The mini me won't bump up the compression to much for the turbo? My understanding was to not use forced injection on a higher compression engine. I had no idea amazon had turbos. I will check that out. Im gonna do a compression test on it on my day off this monday before i even think of putting a turbo on.

Agree with others: You have a lot more learning to do. Read and understand all the relevant FAQs all over this board. This is why school is important: it prepares you for stuff like this.
Also, it should teach you to write in paragraphs and with proper spelling/grammar so other people understand you, but I suspect they are not always successful in this respect.

I want you to be a fireman, go serve your city. Do that for 5 yrs and then go join the force and go crack down on crime. From there you should be able to work for some security escort service. For the eg, drop a j35 automatic in there, that will totally make things interesting. No its not easy but it will turn heads like you wanted.
