Default smog help - where to find an obd1 cat?

hey guys i have two efs and one of them is completely stock and the other has a b16a2 swap in it. I'm torn between taking car two ref because i know ill fail i need a obd1 cat and can't find one and idk if my setup would pass. my other option is taking the motor out of my stock one and installing in the b16 one and just smoging it that way which idk if i could get away with anything would help thank you.

What's the question?

"Should I break the law?"

"Should I pull a fast one on the smog ref?"

Either find the right exhaust manifold and cat or check your local laws and see if you can go with a generic cat.

You are really confused.
You can't just "smog" a B16A2 swap. You need to see a ref first and get the swap approved.

The B16A2 was only available in the OBD2 Del Sol in the U.S. so you are in for a headache. You need to convert your emissions controls to OBD2 standards. Basically, this means and OBD2 ECU and no check engine light. OBD2 introduced a pressure sensor in the fuel tank that doesn't exist on your 88~91. You can't just 'put it in the tank' like you might do with a fuel pump. Good luck with this tank sensor part.... Everything else about the OBD2 conversion is pretty straightforward.

What is an OBD1 cat? Do you mean a cat with an O2 bung?

If the chassis you want to put the motor in was offered with the motor you want to put in, then the answer is yes.
You can't do things like an D16A6 in a DX. The trim on the DX needs the D15B2 and it will come up in the VIN number check.

If the B2 was the engine that the chassis came with, then you can.
