I'm debating whether or not to go back to the pizza cutters. Right now I have some 16" Motegi MR8's wrapped in Ecsta Supra 712's (215/40/16's). They look good, but I want the stock look back. Sell the Motegi's, throw on some tint, and finally be done with her... I'm sick of being loud, have big wheels, and have every friggin cop in the world pace me waiting for me to do something wrong.

sell them, put the stock blackies on and forget the tint. Use the money for bills or more speed. You're gonna want to take the tint off after you put it on anyway.

I think there's something to be said for black wheels and stock or near-stock ride height. My car doesn't get second looks from cops or anyone else, unless I'm driving like a lunatic. Granted, it is a POS...but going unnoticed is a good thing in my book

Man I wouldn't do the tint. I am not a big fan of it. Go back to the stock look and by some more goodies for your car. It looks good now. I maybe wouldn't even change it except for winter time. Have fun.

 

Thing is though...it's Florida. I had tint on my CRX, and it was a lot cooler inside all the time (Granted, it was a white car, but the tint did help). I'm not going to put steelies on it. I am over that phase, but I do like the look of the pizzacutters. No snow or anything here, so that wouldn't play a factor. I kind of do need the $$$ right now too (Lost in court today, so I now have $538 worth of tickets I have to try to pay off in 90 days... No points though, so I guess it's worth it. I am selling a few things, but if I do sell these; I would have about $200 left over to spend on other stuff. Only bills right now are cell phone and cable modem..)

Anyone have any pics of 4g hatches w/ pizzacutters w/orw/o tint?

you might want to define "pizzacutters" b/c to me they are the super skinny wheels drag racers put on the back for a FWD car and in front for a RWD car...

and if that is what you mean, i highly doubt you want those on your car if its daily driven (for numerous reasons).

Its gonna be hard to go back to the stock look with that big *** IC sticking out front and that thing attracts way more cops than a set of wheels.

 

That could be fixed easily with a can of flat-black Krylon

 

Naw...That's my A/C compressor. I upgraded the tubing to flow colder air to my a/c vents...

you must mean the 1988-89 CRX Si wheels.. 88-89 civic's are steeelies. i have a set, if you're interested. dunno how much it'll be with shipping and all.

 

I'm looking for the Si wheels but all I have is steelies... if anybody has them for sale please let me know!

keep um the larger wheels should give you longer gears wich will be better for the turbo

I think you should keep the hatch. There is nothing wrong with owning a modified car. As long as you aren't doing anything wrong like driving drunk, who cares if the cops check you out....just wave and smile at them. They can't give you a ticket for being nice can they?

 

I really don't know what I want to do right now.

I have a car that is relatively fast, and I want to express that on the street. If a Mustang 4.6L comes up next to me and revs, then I feel it's an obligation of mine to 1. Blow off in his face, and if that doesn't give him enough of a hint, 2. Downshift a gear, and introduce him to my tailights.

Both 1 and 2 cops kind of frown upon, for numerous reasons. It only gets worse if I see a riced out Civic or even another turbo'd car in the other lane. I'm almost thinking I'm going to sell the hatch all together, buy a $1000 beater (CRX prolly, or beater hatch w/ AC), and get a bike...
