Default Broken wires at driver's door. Fix?

My 96 civic's pw don't work on the back windows bc of the notorious broken wires going into the driver's door. Now, how do I fix the wire? I assume the wire cluster "plugs in" to the door but I can't seem to get it loose. Anyone know how to remove the harness at the door or fix my wire problem? The first pic is what I think I should remove. The 2nd pic is from inside the door.

they should disconnect there, try poking around with a pick and see if there are any tabs you need to push or pull or a plastic lever you need to move in order to disconnect the harness. As for the wires they are crimped into a tiny pin like connector or spade(could vary a little bit based on make) and then pushed into the harness. Once you disconnect the plug, you'll see what kind of connectors they are. You can probably get those connectors at a parts store or you can find an old harness from a headlight assembly or anything with a plug and pull out 1 of those pins. Then strip the wire back from the ones you want to repair and splice the pin to it. then pull the existing pin where the wire was broken off of, and insert new 1 in.

As the wires rather than pins are generally broken, the existing connector pins can usually be re-used.

Thanks for the advice, it seemed to have a clip on the top but I pushed down on it and just could NOT get it to budge. So frustrating. And as you see in the pic, there are at least 2 broken wires and 2 more that the insulation has been worn off of.

The harness snaps out at the door, I do believe. A pin at the top and bottom with a strong wiggle.

But you have to splice every wire from a replacement door harness into the main harness to replace the broken door harness. Its a pain...
