...for some time trans had a shift gap between 1st-2nd, so I didn't force anything like throttle and let it do it's thing. We're at 162K with reg fluid changes since I've owned it from 59K....my son uses it for commuting but says it doesn't like stop and go traffic at times....any adjustments possible? or is it time for an overhaul? suggestions.

Does the shifting flare up? (IE, when a shift point comes along, it does not shift correctly or lags?)

Check fluid level and viscosity. 3.0's are hard to refill.

When did the problem develop?
