Friend of mine has a 2000 civic si with i/e/h ad ive got a 91 crx dx with sohc zc itake and exhaust.. what chances do i have with keeing up with him? how badly would i lose?

what about my 89 CRX SI ZC SOHC I/H/E vs. a 90-93 LS Integ w/ I/E..

 

so how fast is civic si stock? low 15's? how fast is zc in crx? b16is 160 hp vtec right? zc is 120 hp none vtec.. isny my car a lot lihter then the si also? that doesnt help at all? ok ok what if i get an si tranny with zc final drive will that help my chances? on a si ecu..

You might actually win that cause your car is lighter, and you have a header where he doesent. Since you have an SI, I am assuming you have MPFI on your zc?

 

my bro used to run his sohc zc crx at the runs here in SD. before it was turboed, he had i/h/e.. he ran up against a b16 crx and hung with it for a long while, till at the end, it pulled on him.

 

sohc zc is 110-112, its the same as the d16a6 but with a lil better camshaft

 

can u prove 112 hp? ive heard 120+ from many other sources as well

 

btw if ur bro hung with a b16 rex... wouldnt he be able to take out a normal civic si then? since its same engine but heavier? -_- whats the dilly

 

i have a crx with a d16a6,with a ported manifold,throttle body,and prospeed ecu,ill smoke a 99 si.i woudnt even waste my time on one.

 

i think you would have a chance, with just ihe on a d16a6 i was able to beat those things pretty easily.

yes it could beat a civic Si. civic si's can only pull a high 15 stock, they arent that fast. same goes for b16 crx's, flat/low 15s. not all that quick.

i think u would lose. yea its kinda sad im sayin that cuz i have a sohc zc too.
sure i have a light *** car (cx, no pwr strng, no nothing!#@), and the zc seems to pull alot... but the only car i would dust is a stock ex coupe ('si' in canada)

btw ive got no ac or pwoer steering either and im mildly gutted
