He just texted me the badge and this is it
from the registry
Badge #00098
Sold this car in 2004 to a gentleman in Lexington KY. From there it was sold again and I believe stolen afterwards but I cannot be sure of that.

i just messaged the user on here who it was stolen from. the guy with the armrest texted me saying he bought it 3 years ago local to him for 20 bucks. said he willing to give it back to the original owner who it was stolen from.
I guess that he could say that they were bought, from someone else, at another time.

Not to sure. he told me the gsr he had the armrest in already had the carbon pieces. but very true the theif could be the person he bought it from. i mean 20 is really cheap for a armrest.
Stolen parts get bought/sold so easily their histories are easily washed. Its tough and I'm not telling you what you should do, but I'm out. I have no desire to support theft.
Yeah, I'd have a very difficult time buying any part that was confirmed stolen at one time or another. Matter of fact I'd do my best to get the current owners info to the original owner the best I could.

i gave the old owner the guys number. so i texted the dude today and he said he "sold" everything last night because he didnt hear from the original owner. funny thing is the original owner only got a pm from me 1 hour before the parts "sold" so he didnt even have enough time to contact the dude for the part back. that dude was shady as hell im glad i didnt buy anything from him. hes prolly the theif.
I'm hoping the original owner presses this a bit more. Not that anything would come out of it, but if it were my car that was stolen you'd best believe I'd do anything that I could.
