Which Clutch Should I buy?
Well it turns out my clutch is starting to slip at 3500 rpms in first n second gear. It's a stock type r so I need some opinions. Motor is a 98vb18c spec type r. Exedy stage 1 or 2 racing clutch a good choice n which one? The most I'm gonna do is skunk 2 tuner cams and gears and spring valves retainers. Skunk IM n TB 68mm. Thoughts? I'm open to other brands too. N should I get a light race flywheel too? Ebay has a exedy stage 1 with light flywheel for 400 shipped. That a good deal?

Exedy stage 2 disk, fidanza flywheel like stated above, and An Exedy throw out bearing is what I'm running now and I'm really impressed compared to the cheap organic disk I had before. Only put down about 2 at the wheels but it grabs for me
Stay away from act imo

Any experience with comp clutch? Im looking at one with a oem pressure plate but stage 2 clutch disk. I realize the pedal feel will be closer to oem but is there negatives to running oem pressure plate with a diff stage clutch?
I just installed a competition clutch ultra light flywheel and stage 2 kevlar clutch kit and love it. Easy to drive but grabs very nicely. By the way I have a b20 vtec all motor n/a in mine with lsd gsr trans.
I would definately get a lightweight flywheel for n/a though. Less weight on the crank more power to the wheels. Now with a turbo and higher boost you can use a heavier flywheel so that you can hold boost longer between shifts. The weight of the flywheel helps keep the crank spinning when let off throttle. Anyways competition clutch is very trusted brand cant go wrong.

Exedy all day. With the route you're going I'd just go with Stage 1, and that eBay deal with the lightweight flywheel sounds good, just make sure the flywheel isn't crap.
So I got the exedy stage 2 racing clutch and exedy light flywheel. Am I going to regret getting this stage 2 for a daily driver? Should i be returning it for a stage 1? I may go turbo next year with my tax returns...I'm expecting 220 at wheels with skunk2 stage 2 tuner cams and cam gears and spring valve train retainers and the basics (70mm intake manifold skunk2 and 68mm skunk2 tb) on my 98 JDM ITR hopefully
. Errr I say hopefully, loosely too. Thoughts?

For your goals a Stage 1 Exedy would have been plenty. The Stage 2 isn't horrible on engagement. Don't let the 3 puck scare you. Which clutch did you get - thin or thick disc Stage 2 Exedy?
Thick stage 2. I saw the thins for track only. I haven't put the clutch in and can still exchange it. Should I return it for a stage 1 then? I'm concerned the pressure will be too much on my foot for daily driving
IDK what to tell you. Everyone's opinion of what something feels like is their own. Anyone who tells you different is a fool. I have owned them all up to my current Exedy Twin Disc (aside from thin disc Stage 2) and the Stage 1 with the HD pressure plate is a little more over stock. The Stage 2 was a little more than than the Stage 1. How much exactly? IDK enough to notice but not enough to care - for reference I am 6'6" and close to 300 lbs muahaha.
If you are going to add on later for a lot more horsepower then keep what you have. If you are going to stay with what you got for some time then go Stage 1. If you are worried about clutch leg fatigue in city stop light/stop sign traffic or traffic jams then go Stage 1 as it will work for your setup.
