I have a 98 ek coupe and want to convert from drums to disks but cant find information about what will fit, has anyone already done this?

Um yah no you don't you have a EJ6 and yes the first ever pls give us a write up i'll gift you my track car if you do OP..

 

Had a friend that liked to use civic abbreviations all the time incorrectly. "Check out this 99 ej1 I just picked up!" Told him he had the rarest civic ever. Hahahaha

 

Might be an EJ6, might be an EJ7, might be an EJ8. Point still stands, not an EK.

OP, we don't spoon-feed lazy around here. The FAQs sticky is there for a reason - read it.

 

get over the nit picking guys. Everyone understands what generation you're talking about when you say EK.

 

This is a technical forum. We aren't appearance, we aren't general conversation, we aren't random banter. Around here, there are HUGE differences between an EK4, EK9, EJ1, EJ2, EJ6, EJ7, EJ8, EH1, EG4, EG6, and all of the other many 92-00 chassis codes. It isn't nitpicking - there's a certain level of precision (and quite frankly, truthfulness) if we're going to help anyone fix their car.

Or would you like for us to apply EK9 diagnostic procedures to an EJ6?

 

Sorry to thread jack but im gonna need a diagnostic done on my ek9 4 door.
Its got a bug in the rear disc voltage

 

Common problem, easy fix. 3x5 drain/fill on your headlight fluid, and check your center muffler bearing for roundness and lateral play.

 

Refill your drive shaft with new fluid.

yes...you will need to find the rear discs from a 99 jdm itr manufactured in Hiroshima from any other Honda mfg. plant and it won't work.


I have done this conversion can konfirm

 

Didn't someone made brackets to hold the rear disk caliper and rotor in place. Name had something to do with chicken.....
