I recently got into an accident, and my car was considered totaled and I'm trying to find out what people have payed/sold their r's for. What the insurance company offered was garbage and i mainly just want my R back to being driveable or be able to get another to replace this one. So if anyone wouldn't mind putting their info( year,price bought or sold and mileage),I would really appreciate it.

Have a look in the For Sale section and look at asking prices. Those are not very far off of current market value and what people are paying. Let us know a little bit about your caR(yea, mileage, clean title, etc) and we can advise accordingly.

 

I see a lot of 00-01 on cl and one 97 and one 98,the 00-01 are rebuilt and the 98 is rebuilt 97 is clean but has 150k miles asking 14k,my R is a clean title,98 and 81079 on cluster ,I have to find R's in Florida I'll have the car back tomorrow so I'll try to post pics of damage but front bumper is broken,passenger side if the car(fender and rear quarter panel is done,some parts are bent in engine bay and passenger side suspension is hurt). But the c5 still runs fine no air bags were deployed.

 

I remember another owner going through the same insurance woes in Florida and the insurance company wanted examples from that state only.

 

Those insurance thirds are out to get u. You will need to prepare a binder for them of things to get better payout that's what I did as long as some articles showing the rarity of this car. Anyways start looking for clean title cars in your milage range and take printouts. Do not settle for less the $14k

 

I'll try but I've only found one R on craigslist with a clean title and it's the 97. I'm gonna be talking to the adjuster tomorrow so I'll print out the ad for the 97 if I end up meet them at the shop where my car is at, but if I do t I'm gonna email them everything I have on my computer.

 

My 98 is salvage title due to two thefts. Thankfully they just took the interior and motor, and left all body panels and five lug. No accidents etc. Even with the JDM motor, I would not sell mine for less than $12K. You should be able to get $14K for yours if it was all there and original.
Get the settlement from insurance, buy it back, and fix it.

How many miles are on it?
Did it have a clean title, prior to it being totaled?
