Default TDC Sensor Code 8 After Installing New Dizzy

Just replaced a blown distributor on my 93 del Sol with d15b, now code 8 TDC sensor is intermittently coming on and off. Dizzy is brand new and there was no MIL before replacing. I followed the instructions on Alldata for installing the new dizzy but the light is still coming on and off whenever it feels like it. Checked all connections I will ohm everything out but wanted to ask if there was a known problem before I did. Thanks

Ohm test the TDC sensor and its 2 wires from the ECU connector.

Well the CEL stopped coming on for a while so I left it alone. Now it's back and seems like it's here to stay. Still code 8, TDC sensor. Which wires are you referring to Ron? A pic would be most helpful as I'm quite unfamiliar with the inner workings of distributors and no longer have access to AllData.
Thanks

Nice man thanks. What exactly is a test harness and where can I get my hands on one?

Just use a multimeter, you won't get your hands on a test harness

Ok I will give it a go tomorrow and let you know how it turns out. I'll be back for help I'm sure. Just to confirm, when I took the old distributor off there was really only one way for the new one to go back on. If the stator was somehow rotated 90 degrees when I reinstalled, would I be experiencing the same problem?

You could check as some after market distributors aren't made well but normally the key way is able to go on only one way.
