DA integra build questions!
Whats up everyone, I picked up a caged da integra shell for $200! Its pretty clean overall, and it's a gsr! however the guy I bought it from took the brakes and hubs all the way around off. I'm looking into making it awd down the road and boosting it. Just wondering what kind of options do I have as far as brakes go for the front and rear. What can or can't I use off a newer 94+ integra? And plan on shaving the bay and tucking the brakelines as well. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I hate to burst your bubble but something like this you will not learn overnight, nor will you get all the information you need in one forum posting/thread. If you're expecting to get spoon-fed all your needs for what you want to do, this probably isn't the place. Start by searching Google. There's a handful of AWD conversions already done, where? Probably Google.
I don't understand why so many people on this forum have such an arrogant attitude. I'm fully aware it's not going to be learned over night. Nor do I want "spoon-fed" all my needs. I've been researching for weeks. Which STILL is not enough. Which is the whole purpose for me looking for some pointers from anyone more skilled than myself. If you don't have anything knowledgeable to say, keep your comments to yourself. I'm not knocking you're mechanical skills, or Honda "know-how" im simply saying you came across as sort of a *****. And im only asking for some tips like many others do on this forum. So if you can't help me, that's fine. But like I said, im not an idiot by any means, so keep the comments like the previous to yourself please. Thank you.
I'm sorry you're butt hurt. You asked for advice and I gave you some relevant advice. I wasn't trying to be a ***** but now I will be since you mentioned it. But For your reference, not much from the 94+ integras can be used without modification.
Researching for weeks isnt enough. Ive been researching stuff for my car for 2 years and I still am continuing research. I researched for one year straight just on building my engine, on top of looking up information on brakes, suspension, modifications, and everything else. Yes I have learned a lot through my research but ive barely scratched the surface.
Keep researching, come back in a few months after youve researched your questions to the point of exhaustion.

I will admit, I was a tad bit butt hurt. But thanks for the advice redline. Lol. I will continue to do lot of research. Probably won't start fabwork till at least summertime.

Here's a bit of info on what can /
can't be swapped from eg / dc to da.
Search for how to's on the brake line tuck. It's been well documented. If you stay organized and know how to work with brake lines they aren't too bad.
Going AWD is going to cost a lot. Like, a lot a lot. You'll need basically a custom rear suspension (subframe / driveshaft / diff housing / axles / hubs.) I hope you like fab work

Just go stock hubs and brakes for now. If you go AWD you can use the same hubs and brakes. You'll just have to go with custom axles. Nothing special there. It's a lot of fab work.
