I am looking into purchasing Megan lowering spring for my ek hatch. On there description they say the rear spring rate is at 230. This is a pretty high spring rate for a hatch. if I install it will it sit higher than the front because of the lesser weight that there is in the rear of the hatch?

That spring rate is nothing. Some people use 450 or more. The height of the car at which it sits has nothing to do with spring rates. The spring length and spring perch height will though.

Also with cheap springs like that, a more correct statement would be 'around 230lbs'. They might vary 10lbs from one spring to another.

 

That spring rate is nothing. I daily a over double that.
