So I bought my car with a pretty dented up step gate. Guy in a f150 with hot nuts jumped at a light..


Bought a carbon one off ebay.. Garbage, got a claim for a refund lol,


but I found a stock one in good shape painted it, and when I went to install it, it wont line up correctly, the bottom half of the gate is like 2 inches or so inwards while the top is about a 1/5 sticking out...?

I tried moving the hinges up and down, did a little bit better but still wont fit. I got my glass to close but the light is on and leaks lol...

Im not shure if there is diffrent hinges/step gates for diffrent years. Or if the top latches/hoops are adjustsble..


There dosent apear to be damage to mounting points, the hinges off the Org. Step gate were not crushed. I think they would buckle before it could push up the actually body, plus from underneath there isnt any ripples. The dented gate lined up perfectly.. So ://

Has anyone had any issues with changing step gates or fitiment issues?

 

I dont have any pics at the moment, sitting here at work 50 miles from her. Just a FYI before someone ask.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know any 92-95 gate will work, they should all be interchangeable.

 

haha.. err sorry I figured it out :X and yea there all interchangeable, just the mounting bracket on the car was kinda outa wack a little lol
