Default Possible transmission solenoid? I NEED help!!!

Hey everyone I'm kinda new to the honda scene and I recently just bought myself an automatic 97 Honda Civic Lx 1.6 (Non Vtec engine) with about 187,000 miles on it. The problem I'm having is that when the transmission is going into 2nd and 3rd gear the shift time lags a little by a couple of seconds. It dosen't pull hard into gear like if it were to a broken transmission (it doesn't go into the 5,000 rpm when it shifts). It sounds almost like a normal shift but you can tell it lags a little bit. I need help as soon as possible. I've took it to about 2 people and they said it's a liner transmission solenoid. I also just had my transmission fluid changed but it doesn't help the problem.

Do your shifts flare up? (meaning, with moderate to full throttle, the engine RPM increases without any noticeable change in gear or vehicle speed?)

If the PCM commands a shift and a shift is not accomplished in a specific time window, a code will result, either electronic, or mechanical in nature (IE a slip code).

Has this problem occurred since you've owned it? What was the last thing done to the car.

I haven't seen any codes yet and I've only had my civic for 8 days. The owner before said the distributor, plugs and wires were almost brand new and it checks out. I also had the transmission fluid soft flushed, but this problem was still happening before the transmission fluid was changed. I've put about 300 miles on the car so far.

If you have no shift flare, and your CEL does not illuminate, thise means the transmission is shifting properly in accordance with the programming. (IE there is no problem)

Increasing engine load (accelerating faster) should result in a shortened shift time, simply meaning it will change faster. This is normal in most cars and if the acceleration is high enough, will induce shift feel.

Are you comparing a previous cars shifting habits to this one? Where are you getting your compliant from?

My automatic 92 accord lx engine light came on and D4 light was blinking this morning. I immediately went home and shut car off. An hour later I was going to take to a transmission shop but lights never reappeared and still hasn't. When driving car seems to not want to go in gear some of the time. Whats up?
Thanks
