I have a 95 del sol s mt, it let it sit about 6 months. I went to start it and it started, drove it around the culdesac once and it died. I got it started a couple times, but keeps dieing when I give it gas, I can get the rpm up in neutral, but if in ggear it just dies. It only had maybe a gallon of gas when it was sitting, first I added some seafoam and let it sit for a day. The next day I added about 3.5 gallon of fresh gas. I also changed fuel filter but don't know what to try next. It will idle, I probably had it idle almost an hour total the 3-4 times I got it going

 

Check the ignition timing with a timing gun.

What CEL codes are thrown?

 

There is no cel. I am not familiar with checking timing, is that easy to do?

Update, so its been a while since I looked at the car because of the winter, but I am still having a problem and its finally warm enough to go out and look at it. I drained all the gas put in some fresh premium, changed fuel filter too. I drove it around for about 15 minutes and it seemed fine, then it started running crappy and hesitating and stalled out, got it restarted after a few trys, but it is back to just dying when I give it gas,and have to crank it quite a bit to start it, what else could it be--map sensor?
