Ive reused my valve cover gasket probably 12 times, seriously. just use some silicon sealant arount the cams, and you will be set.

 

Where do you apply the Honda Bond? I'm going to be doing a valve adjustment this weekend. Only part I'm not sure about is the valve cover:

Could I reuse my stock gasket? I'm guessing not.

Do I need to replace the rings around the spark plugs as well?

What areas do I apply the Honda Bond?

Should I use a torque wrench for tightening the valve cover bolts? (I know it's only 7.5lbs, was thinking of just using hands and tighten very lightly).

Oh and one more thing, do I really need angeled feeler gauges? I can't find any .003+ angeled ones, just regular.

I did a search, spent over an hour reading just about valve adjustment topics yesterday in class (had nothing to do lol). I was getting mixed answers about the valve cover gasket and tightening the bolts on the valve cover. Thanks.

 

on every car ive owner ive re-used the stock gasket after multiple removals of the valve cover, incluting my LS.

 

Just make sure you engine is cold and remove the gasket carefully. If you follow this, you should be fine and you gasket will last you a few times with installation and removal.
