Default Teach me about the '10+ TL SH-AWD.

I'm looking to buy a new (to me) car, and the TL has finally grown on me.
What are somethings I should know about the SH-AWD?
Is the tech package included in the SH? What exactly is the tech package, haha.

Thanks in advance.

I put 86,000+ miles on a 2010 TL 6-6 SH-AWD before I bought my 2014 RLX Advance.

It is without a doubt the best car that I have ever owned up to now, and sometimes I miss it even though I have a brand new Acura. (Well...it was brand new two months ago. Now it has 4500 miles.)

If you're buying a 6-6, the only way to get it is with the Tech Package.

The Tech Package includes a lot of very nice features that will improve your everyday experience, including the ELS Audio, which is even now one of the very best audio systems ever to be installed in an automobile. Yes, the 2014 Krell Audio is even better, but the ELS of 2010 vintage still compares very favorably with other 2014 systems.

The navigation system from 2010 is completely serviceable. The traffic updates are via satellite, so you only get traffic information on the US Interstate system, not US primary and secondary roads.

The leather is great...and mine always smelled wonderful. :-)

The manual transmission is wonderful. Perfect ratios. You'll get better fuel mileage than you'd think, too.

I had that car from December 2009 - December 2013, and have driven it in all kinds of situations. If you have a specific question, I'd be happy to try to answer it.

Basically, it's an awesome car that was always under-rated by everybody except the people who bought it.

That is Brian's review of the 2010 TL 6-6 SH-AWD Tech.

Thanks for the reply, I did end up buying a TL, but not a SH-awd.
I did get the tech package though.

I doubt you'll have any problems with it at all! :-)

Is there something different about say the 05 shawd in the RL vs the 2014 TL?

I can think of two thinks right away.

First off, the propeller shaft in the TL is steel.

Second, the RL has an extra device, a way of over driving ("accelerating") the torque that is delivered to the rear.
