Brake lights & horn do not work!!!
Hi, new to the site but not new to coming for advice here. Always found a good explanation of what I needed to get done. However this particular problem is a little different from some of the others I've read about.
To get started I have a 1997 Acura Integra GSR 1.8L DOHC. My horn and brake lights both went out not to long ago and was stopped by a cop (for the obvious safety reasons). I replaced the 20A fuse, which was blown, with a new one.
Started the car, checked the brake lights and they worked! Sweet. Then pressed the horn to check.... Nothing
. Hmmm. Check the brakes again. No good
.
So I'm assuming it's an electrical issue within my steering wheel. Not exactly my forte when it comes to mechanics but have a high aptitude and a brother that knows electrical work. What direction should I go in?? Thanks for any response.

Unlikely a problem in the steering column, horn button only supplies a ground to the horn relay.
Because the fuse blows when you press the horn button the problem will be after the horn relay, possibly the horn itself is shorted out, unplug it and try a new fuse, if fuse does not blow, [brake lights keep working after pushing horn button] replace the horn.
If fuse still blows, find short in horn lead between horn relay and horn. 94
