Default OBD 2 Location (civic 98)

hey. i bought ELM327 OBD2 and i searching the OBD/DLC plug in my civic 98 hatchback but i cant found it. help ?

it's in the drivers side kick panel. (if you are in north america)

Just looking at your hosting site I'm guessing you're not in the US? If so I don't believe many or any Civics came with the DLC connector only the US and Canada?

Your VIN (and also engine) would likely tell you where your car was made. But if you don't have the DLC connector near the hood release handle, then you must pull CEL and other codes by jumping the service connector.

The diagram shows how the Honda VIN works in the U.S. and Canada. If yours is similar, then you'd be interested in the factory code.

I think he wants to use the ELM327 which is only compatible with OBD2 DLC connected models, sorry OP

Like i said, OBD2 connectors are for north american cars. (your location wasn't there at the time of the original post)

What exactly are you trying to do see live data? You're gonna have to use convert to OBD1 and use a program that connects to your lap top. I'm not sure if an AEM unit will work on Asia market ECUs
